Cast Away Beach Bar Curacao — Restaurant in Curaçao

We've come to this place many many times and had no problems until today. Beautiful beach, great atmosphere but rudest food service ever. Went to sit on the balcony and eat and drink like we have many times before but this time they said it was a $20 charge to sit there, and we had to eat and drink there and we couldn't take the food to the beach. This has never happened before so of course we refused and got up to get our own food at the window and take it to the beach ourselves. As we were doing this the servers were insulting us behind our back and amongst other things said, "if they're not willing to pay then they should just go home." After calling them out and having some words back and forth where they just got more rude we weren't willing to spend any money and left. In conclusion, go for the beautiful beach but avoid the food service...

The worst experience ever. The attendees are so rude and arrogance. Since the first time the attendee was very rude and didnt give us space to select our food. After paying the bill I asked to use the restroom, and tey DIDNT LET ME USE IT cause I "only had 2 beers and a croquette" (yes they used these words). As I only spent 22 dollars I wasnt able to use the restroom. And all this terrible situation with my baby of 10 months old in my arms. I feel they are not even humans if they are able to refuse a restroom to a woman w/ a baby (and I was a client). But for their criteria, who order only croquette and a beer , so they are not actually customers I would like to know if this is something normal in Curaçao? What a beautiful opportunity for a business but incredibly poorly executed. The staff is horrible. HORRIBLE!!! We ate here two times out of necessity while diving, and the service was painfully slow. We had to remind them 3 or 4 times for our drinks after waiting 30 minutes in between each time. The price is in gilders, but the staff will try to pretend they don't speak English and confuse you in hopes that you'll pay in USD, and they can keep the rest. I'd skip this place if you can, but unfortunately, there aren't a lot of options on this side of the island. Hopefully, the owner at least sees this and can correct it because this business really does have a lot...
