The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming when we arrived shortly after checkin time. We had one of the garden suites with our one-year old. The room was spacious and clean, the little cot for our son was all set up. The beds were very comfortable, the shower had excellent water pressure and got nice and hot, the free wifi connection was great and in all we had a really pleasant stay.||||Breakfast wasn't until 8am, and our son (and thats means all of us) are early risers. So we kind of had to entertain ourselves from 6am till breakfast time. And because of that we really missed something we had never given much thought, a kettle and some tea/coffee supplies in the room. Luckily I had packed some snacks for the little one and used the hot water tap to make his bottle.||||Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice in various foods, including fresh eggs to cook them to your own liking, freshly baked bread, Sûkerbôle (a must while visiting Friesland), lots of toppings, meat and cold cuts.||||The TV in the room was a really tiny CRT screen, could use an upgrade, though we are not TV...

We stayed in a garden room at the rear of the hotel which was of reasonable size, clean, and had a private sitting out area which was useful and nicely set out. Overall, a little updating wouldn't be amiss, and the number of flies were a nuisance especially in the restaurant and breakfast area which could be attributed to the close proximity of the nearby woods. However our general experience was a good one and the village was particularly appealing as it had everything one could wish for on a...
