Echt Genieten — Restaurant in Echt-Susteren

When traveling with young kids, my challenge is always the same: finding a place to eat that’s both a treat for the grown-ups and truly kid-friendly.

And honestly — Echt Genieten was a gem of a discovery!

On the practical side: • Changing table available • Several high chairs (not just one — we counted four, which is smart if you come with a group) • Kids’ placemat doubles as a coloring set • Plastic plates and cutlery — so much easier to relax when you don’t have to worry about breaking anything

On the atmosphere: We were warmly welcomed by a dynamic, friendly team. The interior? Bold and cozy at the same time — dark green tones mixed with modern wallpaper create a really inviting vibe. Spotless clean. From the outside, I would never have guessed the place had such charm inside!

On the food: What a joy to find a place with carefully crafted dishes… and yet so accommodating for families with young children. The Caesar salad dressing? Unique and refreshing — quite unexpected. The crispy chicken sandwich? The combination of grapes and coleslaw sounded strange but turned out perfectly balanced. And the club sandwich… a classic, but revisited with real creativity and flavor.

Definitely worth...

Delicious dinner in very cozy warm restaurant. Staff were lovely and service a good pace. We had dinner there and ordered dorade and hamburger and both tasty, good quality and quantity. Very reasonably priced too. Parking convenient behind the restaurant. Highly recommend when...

Met een groep hier gegeten. Onbeperkt genieten menu gekozen. 19.00 uur Wij waren verplicht om eerst uit elke gang 1 keuze te maken. Daarna is de mogelijkheid om te kiezen wat je wilt. Je begint het arrangement met brood en een bites plankje vol met gefrituurde snacks. Toen wij alle 4 de lauw warme gangen doorlopen hadden was de tijd om en was de keuken gesloten . Uit coulance mochten wij nog 1 gerecht kiezen. De keuken was daarna gesloten (22.00). Desserts konden wel nog besteld worden a 4 euro extra af te rekenen. Toen wij ons laatst gerecht kregen bleek ook meteen dat wij toe waren aan ons laatste drankje want de tap was al schoon gemaakt en de zaak ging dicht om 23.00 uur. Door de forse rekening op de tafel te leggen werd ons gevraagd het restaurant...
