Bloem Pannenkoeken, Lunch & Diner — Restaurant in Ede

We arrived at lunch time and the store was packed. We sat outside in a spot without a parasol but after a spot opened up a waiter kindly asked us if we wanted to switch to this place with a parasol. Sadly even though he said he would clean the opened up seat, he forgot it. The food came quickly. We ordered the hollandse pancakes with different toppings. Sadly the taste of the pancakes was quite bland and overpowered by the toppings and for the price of 9 euros for a single pancake without any toppings it was not worth it in my opinion. This store does however serve many other things that looked quite good, so I can only speak for the pancakes. The Atmosphere was very good and the staff was very friendly and talkative and was in general very attentive. The place seems ok, but when we came there only half of the room was open to the guests and the doors to the tarrace were wide open so the draft was quite strong inside and i found it a bit cold. Got drinks fast, though I asked for coffee and a glass of water, and got coffee and a shot of water instead😅 Then after some 10 minutes of waiting I managed to get the attention of one of the staff to place a food order. Sadly, after another few minutes the same person came to say they didn't pay attention to what we were ordering due to the language change (I placed the order in English) and what we wanted is from the dinner menu hence unavailable. This place was pretty good. I got the pulled chicken sandwich, others I was with got normal Dutch pancakes as well as the Indonesian rendang pancakes. My chicken was tasty but left me bloated all day afterwards (not sure why, never had that with chicken before). The kids liked their pancakes, and the adults found them a bit thick. The rendang pancakes were rated OK (liked but wouldn't order again, they said). Portions were plenty big. Service was friendly but wasn't super fast, especially not for people with young kids who get hungry and antsy. The kids menu is also not on the normal menu, so maybe we needed to ask for that?
