Restaurant De Orchidee — Restaurant in Eindhoven

We found this restaurant in the Find Me Gluten Free app, for our Celiac daughter. It was conveniently located on our drive and we weren't expecting too much really. But it was great!! Good ambiance for dining-in, super friendly and knowledgeable staff about what would be spicy or not, what contained gluten or other allergens. But honestly just good, fresh, flavorful food for anyone! I grew up in Asia so am pretty picky about Asian food in restaurants, and while obviously not wholly authentic or as rich in flavor as what I grew up with, it was a really delicious and diverse meal. The kids chowed down on chicken satay with peanut sauce, bok choy and nasi, while the adults went for more spicy beef and curry, both truly excellent. They even went above-and-beyond expectations and had a gluten-free cookie for the kiddos to replace the regular fortune cookie. Had a lovely chat with the owner/manager and they really care about making good food and having it accessible to people with all types of dietary restrictions. I first met this restaurant when I was at a friend's house and they ordered takeaway from here. I loved the diversity of food in the menu for two people and especially the taste and good portions. I then tried to convince my boyfriend to try and we went to dine in - he initially thought I was exaggerating how good it had been and thought it was just gonna be an average place. After we went there, he completely changed his mind - he loved ALL dishes (we asked for 5 half portions to try different things: chicken, pork, duck, beef and shrimp). We just visited this restaurant, a family of 5, the food is really expensive, for vegetarian dishes they take 25 euro. But the average food, was the good part of our visit. The waiter didn't write our order, and gave us the wrong dish ( we asked him while ordering about two omelet dishes and he gave us something completely different, not even an omelet), and another wrong dish. The moment he put the dish on the table, we asked what it was, to make sure it's the wrong one, then he started to shout, " do you want it? I am busy etc" . He was so not nice, impatient.... So we kept one of the wrong...
