A Beautiful Setting, but the Food Could Be Better

The restaurant has a great location and makes a strong first impression. The design is beautiful, with plenty of seating and a relaxing atmosphere. One detail I really liked was the pond with fish right at the entrance — a nice touch that adds to the overall vibe.

Unfortunately, the food left me a bit disappointed. For €36 (with beer and wine included from the bar), I expected a larger and more varied selection. The hot food section is quite limited, and most of the focus seems to be on the live grill station where chefs prepare meat and seafood on the spot. While this sounds great in theory, I found the grilled food to be overly salty — likely to make you drink more water, and in turn, eat less.

The food was good i must say It all went good till 10 minutes before we left.from the beginning we wasn’t told that we should not stay more than two hours in the restaurant.no one except the Reception guy understood or spoke a little bit of English. we are tourists was a little bit difficult to understand the items in the buffet at the end came to us. Usually in Chinese buffet it is written above each item what stand beyond, a lot of items was not written anything .One person told us that we must go because we exceeded the time limit and then came another guy in five minutes and told us the same in a very rude pattern. I’m sorry but it is not a problem when tourist who don’t speak Dutch to go to this restaurant. Service van een pepernoot hier. Mijn vriendin had een glas Apfelkorn besteld, maar er kwam een sterke koffie/caramel-achtige geur uit het glas wat de smaak van de Apfelkorn beïnvloedde. Ze ging naar de bar aan waar een discussie ontstond want volgens mevrouw achter de bar was hun Apfelkorn gewoon goed. Ze schonk een glas Apfelkorn in om dát te gaan ruiken.

Ik heb daarop het vieze glas zelf overgegoten in een nieuw glas, hierdoor trok de geur weg en smaakte het weer meer naar hoe het zou horen. Vervolgens ben ik met het vieze glas naar een ober gegaan. Hij zei dat hij geen alcohol drinkt en dat hun Apfelkorn van de groothandel komt. Serveerster vertelde mij hetzelfde en wees naar een man (waarschijnlijk de eigenaar) achter de bar. Hem hetzelfde verhaal verteld, het antwoord? "Apfelkorn komt van de groothandel en glazen uit de spoeler, dus er kan niks mis mee zijn."

Toen ik meneer vroeg om te ruiken, ruikte hij eerst aan het "vieze" glas en daarna aan het glas waar de door mevrouw getapte Apfelkorn nog in zat. Hij zei daarna dat de geur van appel in zijn neus had en geen verschil rook. Kon natuurlijk gebeuren dat er iets met het glas was, dat was het.

Deze mensen snappen de horeca niet. Had gewoon een nieuw glas (desnoods uit een nieuwe fles) Apfelkorn ingeschonken en de stinkende meegenomen. We wilden na het eten nog gaan glowgolfen, maar ik gun deze tent geen enkele euro meer, ook geen extra...
