In reponse to the reaction of the owner to my review: We ate there about 1.5 months ago and sat outside. Food and service were very good. Therefore, we returned within a week and sat inside. We were sitting right in front of the kitchen. It was busy. Unlike the last time, the waiter was really busy so the wait was long to get our beers. That's fine. But the problem was that we could see in the kitchen and saw that there were 2 people making dishes, a man and a woman. The man at the food station was constantly rubbing (or scratching) his nose with bare hands, wiping his forehead with bare hands and worse than that, licking his fingers constantly, while prepping food (like actually putting his fingers in his mouth and licking them). The woman was scratching her head constantly. That scene really turned us off. No matter how good and dilicious the food is (and it actually is), this scene is a turn off, even at home, let alone in a restaurant. We are from Toronto originally and have been to 4-5 star restaurants in Canada, US and in NL. And, this restaurant can be good, but please do not do this. We had to wait 45 minutes to even get the menu, and another 30-45 minutes to get our food. Although I think the latter is a relatively normal amount of time to prepare the food, having to wait almost 1.5h for a sandwich is a little much. On top of this, one of our hot drinks was also no more than lukewarm. The food itself was tasty and the staff was very friendly, apart from the woman who I assume is the owner. We could very easily overhear that she was being somewhat disrespectful to the other staff members. It was highly unprofessional and definitely made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. Puuur is certainly no longer one of my top 3 places to go...

Good Italian restaurant at a cosy square in Gemert. We started with a mixed charcuterie, which I can highly recommend.

I was happy to see they served tuna and steak tartare, so we ordered them both; I would have liked them to have the more delicate taste they deserve. We also ordered the rib-eye which had a spicy taste and really was to our liking.

The service was good, but it took a while for our food to arrive, while we were one of the first dinner customers.

Overall a place I can recommend.
