Bij Marc — Restaurant in Goeree-Overflakkee

The place is really nice, location is great yet, the service is absolutely INEXISTENT. We waited for over 15 mins to get a menu, none of the waiters smile or offers assistance.

Once we placed the order, it was quite fast to be delivered. Still, we asked for some sauce and we needed to ask a 3rd waiter as the first 2 did not assisted us.

Nobody came to check in on us, and we literally needed to stand up to the bar counter to pay, as none of the waiters made themselves available, despite being a 20% of seats busy. The girl at the counter truly clueless about how to look for our table and the system usage to the point we needed to go back to the table and check the number as the order was wrongly placed.

It’s a shame that the spot is top notch, food is OK, location is superb, but service...

We had a truly wonderful experience at Bij Marc. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely – stylish and welcoming, with great attention to detail. The food was incredibly delicious, freshly prepared and beautifully presented.

One of the highlights is the spacious outdoor terrace, perfect for enjoying a meal in the sun or sipping cocktails in the evening. Families will also appreciate the well-maintained playground, which kept the little ones happily entertained.

Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, dinner, or just a few drinks, Bij Marc is an excellent choice at any time of day.

Excellently prepared food - really tasty and a creative menu. Service was friendly and efficient. Family friendly, cosy and no-nonsense environment, with beautiful dune surroundings.

We dined indoors, but there is lovely terraced seating outside - super inviting for an afternoon drink. From here you could keep an eye on your kids playing at the outdoor playground in the dunes.

For a restaurant located in/on a family resort I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and finesse, probably the best I've experienced at a resort in The Netherlands.

You can also visit if you don't stay at the resort with free parking next to the resort reception.
