Parenclub Fata-Morgana — Restaurant in Gooise Meren

We visited on June 16, 2023. It was a Friday and it seemed like the club was about 20% of capacity. I have heard the club was better than fun4two, but it's not. The guy as the pay/welcome desk was a bit of a sarcastic smart-alec. ( They might want to put someone with a better disposition in that role as the entry can sets the tone for the whole visit.) Some clubs offer first-time visitors a tour or an explanation of the layout, that was not offered here.

The food buffet was very unappealing. It was a steam table with about 20 overcooked baked, boiled and fried-in-old-grease items. (They should up the quality and reduce the number of items.) It was not nearly comparable to the grill-your-own fresh chicken and meat we've had at fun4two. If you want a drink with your meal, get your drink first. There are no drinks in the food court area, you must go to the bar and flag someone to get you a drink. Depending on the crowd size it could take a while. I much prefer the fun4two approach to simply have bottles of wine in the food area so you can pour your own.

The club is styled in a contemporary style (reminded me of an airport lounge). It could be warmed up with some drapes or pillows. It all seemed a bit sterile and cold, a larger crowd would have helped hide that aspect. The play-rooms were nice and uniquely decorated. The club seemed clean with lots of towels and other related items.

The music on the night we visited was not very energizing. You'd think an empty dance floor at 11:00 would be an indicator for the people in charge that it's time to find a alternate DJ. We usually like to dance but didn't get many opportunities during our visit.

It's not a bad club, it's just that we find fun4two much better. We left after an hour and learned a 120 euro lesson. It has the potential to be a great club but they try too hard to cut corners. For the cost of entry they need to deliver a better product, or cut the price of admission.

Sorry if this sounds like an ad for fun4two but it's my only point...

Fata Morgana is one of the highlights of our trip. We travelled to Amsterdam and decided to give a shot. We visited the club on May 21st, a Saturday night. The club was crowded with decent good looking couples. It's our first visit and the experience was beyond our expectation. Spacious changing room, nice bar & friendly bar tenders, fancy dance floor & various clean play rooms. When you need rest there's a spa pool & quiet lounge for you to lay down and relax. There's also a food area but we didn't explore. That's not what we're here for haha. The club has the right lightings & vibe for us to mingle and play. There're various play rooms, with different settings and themes. Towels are available at hand distance.

Above all, friendly guests. We're minority (forigners & Asians) but we didn't feel like outcast. Instead we're warmly approached by another couple and had great time together. One point to traveler is that the place is outside of Amsterdam city. If you don't drive then be prepared to Uber back to the city (about 30-40 Euro).

This place is an absolute dream, we went as a couple two weeks ago on a Saturday. I would give it 10 stars if I could. It’s everything we imagined about a sexual experience in Amsterdam. Countless rooms all with different sexy themes. Our favourite was definitely the attic over top of the dance floor with the oversized bed.. 😍😏 Or the dimly red lit group room.. ♥️

The staff were clearly marked and kind and professional. The dance floor and lounge were chill and we were amazed to learn the drinks and food are included in the entrance price! The sauna was the perfect place to relax in between playing.. ugh I could go on and on it, it was just brilliant. Definitely coming back and definitely recommend this over other places in Amsterdam like SamePlace.. which was a terrible experience the night before...
