Funky Freak — Restaurant in Groningen

I was so excited to go here as it's the only place in Groningen I could find with the giant milk shakes. It was terrible. No even close to the picture and ridiculously overpriced for a milkshake I could make at home. Nothing like the picture, it came in a to go cup with a few pieces of candy thrown in and it wasn't blue it was just plain vanilla. Sorry, but no, these were just not it. And for 7.50?! Get out of here. They said they were out of the chocolate dipped strawberries as well but I could clearly see an entire box of strawberries in the display case, I think they just didn't feel like...

This place is absolutely wonderful! I have been here two separate times with my girlfriend, and both times were great! The food does not only look you, but taste really good. The prices are also more than reasonable and actually quite on the low side, when considering what you're getting and comparing that with other cafes. We only tried the smoothies at Funky Freak in Groningen. They were very fresh and tasty, though not exactly cheap. The concept and ambience of the shop is unique and great.
