The hotel Zevende Heerlijkheid is indeed a little gem. Nestled in the picturesque hills of Limburg, it is close to Germany (Aachen is +- 15 km) and Belgium (the Belgian border is 100 meters up the road). 'Little' because there are only about 15 rooms. This means a very homely atmosphere with friendly and personal service - plus really star quality evening meals. A good wine list compliments the fantastic table d'hote. Now, why would one come to this small village and hotel? Golf, walking and biking are the three main reasons. The hotel is specialized in making perfect golf arrangements for its guests. Tee times and special green fee prices are efficiently booked at the nearby and easily reached top quality golf clubs. They are all a real challenge and interestingly pleasant to play. The golf package which the hotel offers is certainly a good bargain. Is walking or biking your interest? The surrounding hills and forests are full of secluded roads and paths just waiting to be used. The hotel is centrally located and the walks or biking start at the front door. Rooms are good, clean and comfortable. Again, food is wonderful. We (2) have stayed here several times for golf and relaxation and I have been here with my club golf team a couple of times. Every time with full satisfaction. We can heartily recommend this...

A key feature.||The beds were set with a very soft and comfortable mattress providing and excellent nights sleep!||We had seen food served but chose to visit the village and eat out. Nearly a mistake as it was 2040hrs and most places finished serving food around 20.30hrs. ||On our return we thought about having a drink in the bar but it was without staff although some residents were still drinking on the veranda.||The Wi Fi was good with a strong signal and free.||We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with a genuinely soft boiled egg done to perfection. The meats, cheese and pastries were excellent.||Breakfast should have been 0830hrs to 1000hrs but we were on an early departure and this was no problem for staff who opened up for us early. Many thanks as the breakfast set us up for the day.||This is a quiet area off the beaten track but well worth considering if traveling through that...
