Paviljoen Loef — Restaurant in Haarlem

I have been at Loef many times and waited long enough to judge the place and I was there a few days ago and finally decided that this restaurant definitely deservers a 5star. Extremely polite and friendly staff, they are so nice that you want to go back there to see them more often. Owners are super nice and friendly and will always be helpful and nice to talk to. Food is great, view is amazing. I just came to rate the place to show my appreciation towards the polite and patient staff and the amazing owner but I just saw that some people always have to be a Karen and just because they couldn’t get their way and harass a restaurant to rent their boats for half the price then they come here and use google reviews as a sort of punishment for the restaurant! How absolutely petty and low… I was so upset to read Kirsten and Quirijn’s nice response only thinking why do they have to go through this and be rated so low just because someone decided to be so petty and instead of acting like an adult, they came here and left an unfair review! It’s just sad how some people think they are entitled… However, I loved the place and the friendly staff so much that I honestly wouldn’t care about food and would go back there every week, but fortunately the food is also really good! High quality fresh ingredients make the food really nice. Definitely try their Mackreel salade!...

Ze verhuren ook bootjes. Helaas super belerend te woord gestaan door mevrouw, die me geen kans gaf mijn zin af te ronden.

Graag voeg ik hier nog aan toe, na het lezen van de reactie van Kirsten en Quirijn op bovenstaande: bijzonder dat jullie op iedere negatieve/ minder goede review defensief reageren. Dat is toch op zijn minst opvallend? Er lijkt geen enkele sprake van zelfreflectie. Ik heb nooit eerder een negatieve review geplaatst, dus dat ik dat dit x wel heb gedaan zegt iets. We konden de boot pas op zijn vroegst vanaf 13 uur huren voor maximaal 4 uur. Omdat de boten nog niet verhuurd waren hebben wij enkel gevraagd of het mogelijk was om ze dan voor dezelfde prijs te huren als normaal gesproken voor een dagdeel. Nooit om korting gevraagd überhaupt, puur om een ander tijdsblok en zelfs minder uren. Dat dit niet mogelijk is zou een prima reactie zijn. Het gaat allemaal om de manier waarop. Zeer jammer. Heb de kans niet gekregen om uit te praten, er werd niet geluisterd en zeer kortaf gereageerd. Dat jullie in je reactie alleen kunnen ‘terug slaan’ en de waarheid verdraaien zegt iets over jullie....

Drank 4 cocktails total with 2 persons. Cocktails were great although there is only 2 on the menu which is understandable because its not a cocktail bar. Service is good with maybe a little more presence on the floor at the tables will be nice.

I hope that in the future they will be allowed to expand parallel to the water to create more tables and...
