Lorkeers Hellendoorn — Restaurant in Hellendoorn

My husband and I are hiking the Pieterpad and just arrived in this town, hoping for a place to sit to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. There were no benches in sight, so we sat briefly at a table at Lorkeers. (To be clear, it's 3pm a cool rainy day and there are exactly zero customers outside and we picked a dirty table with ants all over it to be sure we wouldn't be disrupting any potential business.) We were summarily chased away by a staff member for not purchasing anything. I would totally understand if there were ANY risk we might affect their business, but that was clearly not the case at this moment. We moved a few feet over to a wall instead. How many customers came to use the tables while we sat on the wall? Zero, of course. Fantastic...

A nice place but very loud outside, no one is driving slow in Hellendoorn and it was very windy that day too. Cappuccino was served nicely but the staff couldn’t speak english, so instead of bringing us the bill, they brought the same order again and we had to pay for it. Gister een taart gekocht. Vooraf wisten we niet wat voor taart het was, informatie gevraagd, 3 van de 4 werkneemsters wisten niet wat voor taart het was en wat voor ingrediënten erin zaten. Wij zijn een weekendje weg en 1 van ons 4 is allergisch voor hazelnoten. Er werd ons verteld dat er alleen sporen van hazelnoot in zaten, terwijl de vulling van hazelnoot is en op het gebak liggen losse hazelnoten. Bij deze wil ik zeggen dat ik dit een kwalijke zaak vind en de kennis van de werknemers me erg is tegen gevallen. Het is gelukkig goed afgelopen omdat we het proefde voor zij een hap heeft genomen, voor hetzelfde geld neemt ze een hap en zijn de gevolgen niet te overzien. Bij deze ook een slechte recensie omdat ik het niet...
