Izumi Sushi & Grill — Restaurant in Helmond

Went here a couple of times for the all you can eat concept. It's pretty okay all and all. There's great variety in sushi and some interesting flavours to try which i don't see at competition perse. Also some products are added without more costs, where other also ask for more money f.e. on Salmon Shasimi.

However i am not that confident about all the quality. Especially the beef to me looked quite doubtful in multiple dishes. Not to say it's to make you sick, but it just looks cheaper and handled with little care. The sushi isn't that consistent, neither the portions or cuts. All in all it feels a bit rushed.

Price/Quality some might say, which is fair. The variety is great, the speeds was quite insane and the errors of missing portions were little. Also the pricing for the kids(older then 4) is fair and way better then at their local competition.

Last time though the things felt a bit too rushed, which was on a thursday evening, so.. why?? Maybe the time slots could be a bit bigger to give some breathing space too allow a bit more concern on the consistency. Next time we will give a competitor another shot. But sure we will be...

Food The restaurant is an all-you-can-eat and is not too expensive. Drinks are not included. Most of the foods are included in the price, but for some you have to pay extra. You have a lot of variety (fish, meat, vegetables, sushi and fried foods). Overall the taste was good, but I feel like not all products were as fresh as they are supposed to be. The fried food was really nice tho.

Service You can order 5 dishes each every 15 minutes with an iPad. They bring the food to your table and clean the empty plates on time. Personally, I was very satisfied with the service. It was fast and the servers were polite.

Voor herhaling vatbaar! ‼️review maart 2025‼️ Lunchen bij izumi: We hadden gereserveerd om 12u,dan is de zaak net open! bij aankomst werden we niet hartelijk ontvangen want ze waren nog niet klaar en werden we gesommeerd om op de bank bij de voordeur te zitten, personeel moest nog binnenkomen en er werd nog eerst met een aantal medewerkers een sigaret gerookt en koffie gedronken bij de voordeur, niet erg handig vond ik want de lucht trok naar binnen. Ik was in staat om om te keren want ik heb een hekel aan genegeerd worden, niks geen goedemiddag of ons alvast naar ons tafeltje brengen en drinken aanbieden? Dat was namelijk een nette oplossing geweest! gezien mijn dochter heel erg zin had in sushi ben ik rustig gebleven en heb ik op mijn tong gebeten! Mijn advies is, zorg dat iedereen klaarstaat om 12u gezien de zaak open is op dat tijdstip en zeker gezien jullie wisten dat er een reservering stond om 12u of zorg dat je pas vanaf 12:30 een tafel kunt reserveren zodat je altijd een marge van 30 minuten hebt voor het opstarten van jullie dag. En wees vriendelijk naar je klanten, van kok tot bediening tot afwashulp ,gewoon iedereen van het personeel , want je werkt tenslotte in de hospitallity branche??, je wil toch graag je betalende klanten behouden, anders raak je ze kwijt!
