We are very sorry to hear that you are not satifsied with your order from Happy Italy Sandelingen.
On friday we have had telephone contact with you about your experience. We were under the impression that you would come back for a new pizza. Therefore we had prepared a new order for you. This could have been a miscommunication, but we have tried to come to a solution together.
Because we take your story very seriously and we are sorry to hear that you are not HAPPY with your order, we have discussed your email and experience with our manager. We would like to tell you that the four cheese pizza never comes with tomato sauce and is always prepared without this. Ofcourse, it is possible to order additional tomato sauce. Also, we would like to explain that we use an wood-fired oven. This gives the best taste and quality to the pizza's. Because we use this traditional oven, the pizza's can be a little bit brown. But after reviewing your photo's, we do not believe the pizza's are burnt.
We hope that we have explained the situation with this and of course hope that you will give us a second chance in the future.

21 January 2022: tried again. Such disappointing. Also the service is not helpfull. Really sorry but such disgusting food i will not eat (see foto). Never come here again.

Read moreWhen you arrive at the restaurant, you are directed to a table that is at first sight dirty and, after a while, superficially cleaned. Secondly, the staff puts the ice straight into the glass with the bare hand! No gloves, no lapel for ice, nothing! Just like in the middle ages, when hygene measures were unknown. Not to mention that you are not even asked if you want ice or not. Thirdly, the toilets were discusting... a toilet outside in the garden would have seemed more appealing, trust me! These might not be a problem for most people on common occasions, but as the world is churning with worying news about a dangerous virus that has reached a significant number of cases in the Netherlands, I believe that a chain restaurant like Happy Italy can train the staff to be more attentive to these details, which are nothing but basic hygene considerations. The customers are not blind, really! Ignorance only adds up to the severity and the spread of bacteria, and will not give pride to such a big restaurant. Regarding the food / drinks... there is no drinks menu on the table and the pizza options are quite odd. Read moreI was there the 10th aug 2025 evening and happy Italy has lost its touch its service and customer experience don’t get me wrong the food taste is good but the service is terrible it’s a normal thing now that customers sends food back and reason is food is served cold yet the customers flow isn’t so much as earlier years I order the pasta and it was served cold yet took 30min to order and another 20min to serve and the amount of food also has decreased the pizza would recommend it, the lemonade is diluted but not so bad 5/10 ,for those who knew happy Italy when it started it’s not the same ,well pro tip a restaurant is very much judged by its toilet and Lemi tell you it was horror water puddle was at the door entrance between male and female or maybe it wasn’t water mmh and as you go inside toilet paper wasn’t available so make sure you always have your bag with you ladies and gents because you might not find toilet paper and soap so be prepared .
