Delhi Darbaar Indiaas Restaurant 🇮🇳 — Restaurant in Hilversum

The ambience was good and the owner started with a pleasant conversation. The appetizers were OK overall, lamb samosa excellent but in lamb boti, the lamb pieces was too sinewy & chewy. Even for me couple pieces were hard to swallow and my son had to spit it out. The main courses were good. Naans were hot and fresh. Lamb roganjosh was good but more of tomato taste than spices. The hostess was very courteous and service was fast. We had told the owner we booked through Fork during our conversation & he was aware of it as well. At end of meal on being asked for feedback, I told owner the food was good but the lamb boti was too sinewy & chewy. To my surprise he said that is always the case; denying any responsibility. At the end the owner "forgot" to give the 30% discount. On asking, he gave discount only on main courses saying appetizers were not eligible for discount. This was not mentioned on the fork.nl website. However I did not want to argue and spoil family evening. He ended up not giving discount on one bread item and I did not raise it either assuming it was a genuine mistake.

Zero stars for being a dishonest & immoral business owner....

Edit - 2nd November 2021. Ordered food directly from their website because they asked us to ( saying that it would benefit them). Placed an order at 7.19pm and it's already 9.10 pm. It's a ridiculous amount of time. Gave the provided number a call and they did not pick it up. The calls went straight into voice mail. Very disappointed with the service provided, which makes me think it was better if I had ordered from Thuisbezorgd. I gave you 5 stars for the food 7 months ago, today I'm taking out 3 for the service you're providing.

Ordered Butter chicken and Naan for dinner because we were craving for Indian food. I wasn't hoping for much because I've heard how Indian food isn't all that good here in the Netherlands, but I was pleasantly surprised by how yummy the curry tasted with both rice as well as naan. I can't wait to try out more from...

We as an Indian invest a lot of time on preparing our food as our food is full of flavors and spices.

Here comes the review of Delhi Darbar restaurant at Hilversum.

For starters we ordered Tandoori chicken & Chicken Tikka which is good however without mint chutney which we love. Though we were given some sweet dip and tomato ketchup with it. Insane. Took about 45 mins to serve.

In main course we ordered chicken Tikka masala & Mutton Rogan Josh which was just pathetic. Both had similar gravy. We were also offered chickpeas and rice as complimentary which also had the same gravy. So all 3 dishes were just same in taste. I mean how can all 3 dishes be served with same taste Again it took about 35 mins for main course to be served. Had a lot of expectations however went for a toss. I would rather choose another...
