AH Tim — Restaurant in Koggenland

The food was good. It unfortunately took over 1.5 hours to get our food. Even then, our full order didn't come to the table. When we asked why, they told us "it was too late" to bring to the table. Staff were friendly to us. Spoke several languages, which is always helpful to travelers.

However, there was loud yelling among the staff from the kitchen area - causing quite the scene for the customers.

Perhaps it wasn't their best day? Our party was large (7 persons), however we only ordered 5 dishes total, and again half of the order didn't make it to the table. If you run late, bring something to help appease 4 hungry children?

Het eten was heerlijk!! De courgette en champignons waren perfect gaar met goede bite maar ook goede smaak. De saus die erbij zat was heerlijk. De gefrituurde dingen waren wat olieerig en ze waren 1 gerechtje vergeten maar dat kwam onmiddellijk goed toen we het aangaven. Het all you can eat systeem werkt goed. Het is fijn dat je lekker kan blijven zitten en iedere keer 2 gerechtjes pp kan bestellen. Er waren goede vegetarische opties, maar die waren wel een stuk kleiner dan de vlees porties (als in, je krijgt minder groenten dan dat je vlees krijgt). Dat is wat vreemd, want vlees is volgensmij vullender. Zeker een aanrader, al is het alleen maar voor de champignons in die saus 🤤

The food was very good! Mushrooms and courgette were perfectly done with a great bite but also good flavour. And the sauce was amazing. The fried stuff was quite oily, and they forgot about one of our dishes. But that was immediately rectified upon notifying them. The all you can eat system works very well. It's nice you can stay seated and just order 2 dishes per person each time. There were enough veggie options, but the portions were a lot smaller than the meat dishes (as in, you get fewer vegetables in the dish than meat). Which is a bit odd, since I believe meat fills more? All in all def a recommendation though, even if just for the mushrooms and...
