Went for a family dinner to celebrate a birthday. Overall we had a great experience, however there were a few points of improvement.

To start with the good points. Service was attentive and overall great. Especially as good service is a rare thing now a days. The restaurant looked very nice and the food was good overall.

Things to improve (according to my own opinion/experience). While the atmosphere was pleasant for the most of the evening, towards the end the music volume was so high that it was hard to hold a conversation with the other sitting at the same table. While I understand that this is part of the 'vibe', it would be nice to still be able to converse normally. Another point of improvement would be the desserts. Unlike the rest of the menu these were far below 'standard'. It felt like the kitchen tried to be so 'trendy'/different that the end result suffered under this. For example, I had ordered the Tiramisu. However, what I got only slightly resembled a real Tiramisu and the flavour was far from what it should have been. The others had similar experiences with their desserts. Lastly (this is only a minor point) it maybe would be smart to store the friandises at the bar so that when coffee with friandises is ordered, the customer will receive both at the same time instead of separately over the span of 10 minutes.

To close of, I would like to say again that we had a great evening and that this place deserves the benefit of the doubt due to it being relatively new. I hope this feedback will help the restaurant improve...

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The fantastic cocktails were a perfect start to the evening. The personal and informal waiters made us feel right at home. The food was great, with big portions that left us more than satisfied. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and hip, making it a perfect spot for a night out....

Gisteravond gezellig gegeten bij restaurant Mairie. De zitjes in het restaurant zijn fijn door de ruime opzet. Het interieur voelt prettig. De ontvangst is vriendelijk. De keuze op de kaart is prima, maar de gerechten en de opmaak zijn niet heel bijzonder. Zeker niet gezien de prijsstelling. Wij hadden als voorgerecht de burrata en tagliata. De burrata was heerlijk, de tagliatelle basic. Als hoofdgerecht hadden we de surf & turf, sliptong en pasta. Het vlees van de surf & turf was aan de droge kant, de gamba’s wat melig. Pasta en sliptong waren lekker, maar niet verrassender dan je in je eigen keuken bereid. Bediening deed zijn/ haar werk, maar was niet heel bevlogen. Die avond draaide er in het restaurant een DJ. Dit voegt voor mij weinig toe aan mijn beleving, en aan het einde van de avond was er geen normaal tafelgesprek meer mogelijk. Jassen moest je zelf opplukken uit de garderobe.
