Barista Cafe Lisse — Restaurant in Lisse

My wife and I had tickets to visit Keukenhof Gardens near Lisse on the afternoon of Thursday 18 April 2024, so we decided to get to Lisse slightly early and have brunch at a local café, Barista Cafe. What a wonderful place! Lovely decor and atmosphere. Really friendly, professional staff and customers. As for the food and drink, we ordered scrambled eggs in a burrito and a smashed avocado and egg sandwich. Both were fantastic! Just what we were looking for. We also ordered a cappuccino and a flat white and both drinks were excellent! We parked in the nearby car park, buying a blue car park ticket for €2.25 from 'Hema' next to the car park. Breakfast and lunch spot with fair prices and fast service. Moreover, I love the fact that they have a wide variety of healthy options while you also can still have a cheat day by ordering one of the tasty melt sandwiches :). Personally, I visit this place more regularly. My only point of constructive criticism would be about how they have furnished the place; it's okay but I'm not getting the cozy vibe which I'm used to in...

Kwam hier bij de vorige eigenaar heel graag. Maar ik vind het echt achteruit gegaan. Koffie to go gehaald, slagroom apart, millionairs shortbread. To go, omdat ik uit een wandeling met de hond kwam en het binnen druk was. Is prima, thuis kan ik er net zo van genieten...

Eerst werd de koffie gemaakt. Op de toonbank gezet. Ik had ook wat erbij besteld. Moest collega pakken, maar was nog even bezig met andere klant. Die krijgt nog op haar kop dat ze slagroom niet aangeslagen heeft, waar ik naast sta. Niet netjes... Vervolgens... 3 losse bakjes op de toonbank met een los koekje er bovenop. Ik sta er nog een soort van knullig naar te kijken van... hoe dan? Ik zeg "vroeger kreeg je het netjes in een tasje?". Komt ze met zo een houder voor bekers. Laat maar... Voor ik de hoek om was was het koekje al gevallen, de beker zat vol (wat normaal waar voor je geld is, maar to go niet handig) en heel mijn jas onder de melk, thuis (2 minuten met de auto) alles koud. Shortbread was VEEL karamel en een redelijk smaakloze koekbodem...

Wat een verwen momentje had moeten zijn is nu een gevoel van ... zo jammer ... Meer dan 9 euro kwijt voor koude koffie met shortbread die ik niet eens lekker vond (smaken verschillen).

Volgende keer weer naar Qoffee and more... Daar zijn ze altijd vriendelijk en zijn de...
