Restaurant Koosie — Restaurant in Maashorst

After staying at the hotel for two nights of a week long stay and eating in the restaurant for those first two nights, I arrived 45 minutes prior to closing on the third night. After being ignored for several minutes, someone walked up to me and I explained that I only wanted dessert. The reply was that “the kitchen was closed” despite the restaurant having many customers still seated. Further explanation was they it was slow and they decided to close early, so I couldn’t order anything. To be honest, my impression was that she assumed I wanted a full meal so close to closing. Instead of listening, her task was to get rid of me because what server doesn’t ask a seated customer if they would like dessert or coffee at the end of their meal? With little other option, I left. If it weren’t for the fact that I had prepaid for breakfast, I wouldn’t be returning. For any other meals, however, I won’t. Voor 1 nachtje dit hotel geboekt en het was een aanbieding met ontbijt en 2 gangen diner. Genoeg keuzes met het 2 gangen diner, wat ook erg goed smaakte. Heerlijk buiten toeven op het terras. Het hotel zag er mooi, verzorgd en schoon uit. Zoals elk Van der Valk hotel. De stoelen in de lounge zaten lekker, maar de armleuningen toonden lichte slijtageplekken. De kamer was ruim en schoon. Heerlijke regendouche. In het toilet was geen wasbakken, zodat je met je handen eerst van alles moest aanraken om ze in de douche te wassen....
