I had the pleasure of being invited to this restaurant by a few local Dutch friends, and it was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, with the restaurant bustling with activity. The presentation of the food was impressive, and luckily, it tasted just as good as it looked. 😋

Although everything else was fantastic, I was a bit disappointed to find that the sweet potato fries were served cold. However, the rest of the dishes were delightful. In particular, I thoroughly enjoyed the refreshing virgin mojito mocktail, which was the perfect thirst-quencher .

The outside area with the fire pits added a special touch to the overall ambiance. It created a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the evening.

I want to give a big shout-out to the helpful waitress who served us throughout the evening. Her attentiveness and assistance made our dining experience even more enjoyable. 🙌🏼

All in all, I had a great time at this restaurant, and I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a lively atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service....

KB is so much fun! The decor is bright and maximalist, but tasteful. There is something new and exciting to catch your eye everywhere you look. But it doesn't feel overwhelming.

The staff is fantastic- quick, kind, and helpful. I'm still learning Dutch and they are helpful with the language.

But the most important part- food and drinks... 10/10. The cocktails are delicious. We had the Limoncello Spritzer and the Pornstar Martini, and both were excellent. We had the plukbrood, chicken tacos, T-bone, and tenderloin, plus Korean cauliflower, sweet potato fries, and regular fries for dinner. Everything was utterly delectable. The only, minor complaint was that my husband's T-bone was a bit more rare than medium... but it was really only near the bone. It was still delicious and he ate it all.

2019: Goede aanwinst voor Dokkum qua concept en kwaliteit. Aardige bediening en een mooi gevarieerde kaart. Mooi terras achter de zaak. Kleine verbeterpuntjes: zorg dat hoofdgerecht en bijgerechten ongeveer tegelijk geserveerd worden (bij ons zat er meer dan 5 min tussen en dat is lang), en de vriendelijke serveersters stonden nog wel eens bij een verkeerde tafel. Maar onder de streep is het een leuke tent met prima eten in een mooie ambiance.

UPDATE april 2023: 25-3-23 met 4 p gegeten, we wisten dat we op het overdekte terras hadden gereserveerd. De vorige keer dat we hier waren was alweer een paar jaar terug. Het viel niet mee deze keer: opnemen van de bestelling duurde lang, opnemen drankjes al helemaal. Het voorgerecht ging nog redelijk vlot, maar het hoofdgerecht heeft zeker 1,5 uur geduurd voor dat dat kwam. Vriendelijke serveersters maar het was duidelijk dat ze de boel niet in hand hadden. Uiteindelijk meldden ze dat “er iets mis was gegaan in de keuken”. Het hoofdgerecht (shared) was lauw en de gevraagde karaf water kwam na 3 x vragen pas na het hoofdgerecht. Uiteindelijk wel excuses gekregen en gratis koffie na, maar ik ben bang dat dit voorlopig even ons laatste bezoek...
