Café-Zaal-Slijterij Zwaneveld — Restaurant in Noordenveld

I went to this cafe for a 55th wedding anniversary, which was held in a rear private room, I never entered the front bar so cannot comment upon that part of the cafe. The rear room upon entry seemed a little dark and dreary but was clean with lots of tables and comfortable chairs. We started the afternoon with coffee or tea and a variety of cakes which were amazing, I opted for apple tart and whipped cream, I can only say 10/10, wonderful, the coffee, whilst not the best was perfectly acceptable and plentyful. We then moved on to the free bar!!!! Ok, paid for by our host and hostess, but free to us, I only drank red wine, which was surprisingly good too many bars and cafe's serve the most awful red wines, but not here! We were server a variety of hot and cold small treats, many of which I had never heard of or eaten before, all were excellent, even the salad was perfectly presented and was cool and crisp. Finally the service, two young women and a single man ensured every one was served in a timely manner, with great professionalism and a freindly manner, my only concern was with my Dutch companions who seemed to largely ignore them, please and thankyou costs nothing and makes a huge difference to a hard working persons day and it is always great to make...

Gisteren toevallig op het terras gezeten. 'Toevallig', nee, een zeer uitnodigend terras. Een heerlijk cafe waar je gelijk thuis voelt. Netjes, schoon, correct en tijd voor de gasten. Zeer schappelijke prijzen. Maar goed dat mijn vrouw er bij was, had er waarschijnlijk anders nu nog gezeten. Vriendelijke groet en succes, een collega...
