I have been in this restaurant yesterday and I have really enjoyed my staying. The personal is really professional and the quality of the food is outstanding. The menu card offers a wide range of delicious dishes and the choice is made even harder by the specials of the day/month. They have a lot of wines and special biers and an entry drink which changes every now and then. Even though the name is French they offer many dishes also from the Italian and Spanish cousine. The atmosphere is delicate and taken care of. However, the most important reason why you have to go there is really eating and drinking. I have been to many restaurants but none was as tasty as this one, especially referring to main courses. They also offer a three courses menu for 24.5 but then the choices are different. The only thing which was not super top was the creme brûlé because mine was really cold.

Ja, dit is een ronduit goed restaurant. We waren hier voor Moederdag 2025, terug na enkele jaren afwezigheid. Op het ruime en fijne terras staan geen asbakken op de tafels, dus roken wordt nadrukkelijk ontmoedigd, met uitzondering van de enkele gast die deze hint blijkbaar ontgaat en toch vervelende rookoverlast veroorzaakt. De bediening was correct. Het algehele tempo was 'zen' en prettig op z'n zondags. Mijn gerechten, de kreeftensoep en de garnalenkroketten, waren uitstekend. De kreeftensoep, mooi opgediend, was memorabel. Tafelgenoten hadden aspergesoep, lekker en een zeer royale portie, tournedos (helemaal perfect) en oesters, supervers en van uitstekende kwaliteit. Het buiten-de-kaart-om-gerecht catch of the day haalde dat niveau niet. Misschien toch een plek waar je beter gewoon van de standaardkaart kunt kiezen? Vandaar de 4.0 beoordeling. Verbetering zou bovendien zijn, voor deze culinaire standaard, om het terras definitief rookvrij te maken.

Spontaan binnengelopen met Carnaval, een prachtig pand in het centrum van Nuenen. Hier werden we verwelkomd door een enthousiaste en beleefde jongeman die ons naar een tafeltje bij het raam begeleidde. Eenmaal dat we zaten werd een heerlijke amuse van steak tartaar in een tuille voorgezet. Aangezien we verschillende hapjes als voorgerecht wouden viel de keuze op 'Route de Soleil', verschillende mediterraanse hapjes die met liefde waren bereid. Als hoofdgerecht werd er een heerlijk stuk presa van het Iberico varken op tafel gezet, wat was dit lekker. Kortom, de ambiance, de service en het eten waren van een goed niveau. Genoten!
