So me and my family came to eat after seeing my sister's airplane go, and we decided we wanted to go eat. My parents decides on yami yami, and so that was where we went, we sat down, got one menu, and ordered our food, we sat there waiting for our food from 7 to 8. My mom had to call the waitress that took our order to ask for our food, she said that she'd go and check, right as we were about to leave, they finally brought our food. There was a time that their service was very good! Now there service isn't. Costumers that goes to eat at their restaurant has to wait, and see the workers continuously bring food out for pick up. But we were forgotten about until my mom asked for our food. It was until then that they prepared our food. Aside from how long we had to wait, the waitress kept passing our table constantly but never came and told us if there was some difficulties bringing our food out. So I think the neglect made the service so much worse. I remember when this place actually had...

This isn't a place I'd recommend to anyone. I'm not really sure how this place has good ratings with the lack of quality food, cleanliness and poor customer service. There was no welcome when we entered. Had to wait another 5mins or so to get someone to seat us. Our waiter never introduced herself or explained the menu (which was half English and half Dutch). When she finally comes back to the table she starts taking our food order. When I mentioned that we hadn't gotten our drinks she walks away abruptly with no explanation. Watched two other parties walk in after us but yet got their drinks and food before us. Ordered edamame and it was cold. Our server never came to check on us. And it wasn't like they were really busy but then again they only had 2 servers. The bathroom was disgusting🤢🤮. The other server was waking around with flip flops on serving table to which I thought was very unprofessional and unsafe. All in all my family and I won't...

Not sure how people give this place 5 or even 4 stars. The only reason I gave 2 stars (instead of 1) was due to the waitress who tried to make it more "upscale" by holding her hand behind her back when pouring drink into my glass (it was sad and cute at the same time). The place is a low end, semi clean (i would be afraid to look behind kitchen doors) fast asian food place. I have paid US28.50 for a platter of sea food (3 shrimps, pieces of fish, "crab sticks" and some pieces of squid) over saute vegetables and sea weed salad!!! Where I live (not in Asia), I pay $US6.50 for a larger, waaaay tastier and fresher sea food platter which comes with soup and salad. I understand that Aruba is expensive in general, but you have a waaaay better choices on this island. This place is not a good representation of...

I have driven by this Asian restaurant in Bubali for years and always wondered about the food, since I love Chinese food. So this year on my annual visit to Aruba, I decided to stop in for lunch. Indoor dining is now open; however, most of Yami Yami’s patrons are in line to place or pick up their takeout orders. Many look like locals who have come from their office for lunch. I was pleased to see they have a large menu, including a vast list of Lunch Specials. For $7.75, you can choose a soup, entrée and rice or fries. I tried the Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Roasted Chicken entrees along with wonton soup and fried rice. The food took about ten minutes to prepare and was packaged up for me. Yami Yami is a great, inexpensive off-the-beaten-path Asian restaurant in Aruba for the more adventurous traveler.

This is an interesting restaurant. Normally I do not like fusion places that much but this one wins some points for being unique. It’s definitely a local vibe and has nice decor inside. It is decorated with Indonesian, Japanese, Dutch and other adornments. Upon entering you might think it looks run down but it is quite nice inside. In terms of food, the Indonesian dish that I got was outstanding. We also had Chicken Satay and Edamame which was standard. For sushi, I’d say it passed but I wouldn’t come here exclusively for it. There are probably other places on the island more specialized in sushi. Overall, I’d definitely return here but I would focus on the Indonesian dishes.

Let me start with how good the food was. It really was delicious. We just had to get it first. We ordered the orange chicken with fried rice, hot and sour soup, and a chicken wonton soup. All of it was super tasty. The hot and sour soup was the spiciest I have ever had. We both loved it, but beware it’s spicier than what we were used to. The chicken wonton soup was mild in spicy, but so full of flavor. The orange chicken was enough for us to share. One funny thing that happened in our 2.5 hour visit here was a pizza delivery for the staff. This was a first for me.
