CARNIVOR steakhouse — Restaurant in Roermond

The place is great, the service is terrible First of all the waiters kept asking if we wanted to order something to drink, I counted 7 times in 2 hours (and we ordered 5 times out of 7), but the true nature of service showed at the moment of paying the bill. I politely asked to pay part of the large table bill with my card and I was immediately refused by a blonde girl with incredibly rude manners, stating that they don't split bills they only accept a single payment for the entire table bill (which was somewhere around 90+ EUR). When I insisted, again politely, she just shrugged her shoulders and said "Those are the rules" and turned her back on me (Note that at the moment the counter was clear of any customer) without ever looking at me again. Luckily one of us had enough money to pay with the card in a single transaction, take a picture of the receipt, do the math of who has to pay what and how much and send us individual payment requests. Last Thursday, I have organised a good-bye dinner for my teams by Jill Murphy's, and it only confirmed my opinion about this place: if you want to have a proper drink and eat something really tasty, Jill Murphy's is the place to go to!

We went for Meatlovers Sharing Plate, so the tables got full of fantastic meat meals, including spare ribs, pork satay, chicken salsa etc. It was a lot, all hot and very tasty! Next to this we had decent drinks selection. All have been topped up with perfect service: staff was very attentive, present and responsive, all in friendly and good atmosphere.

De service en de sfeer is hier altijd even goed , het personeel is altijd even vriendelijk en het is ook altijd even gezellig om hier op het terras te kunnen gaan zitten . Over het algemeen vinden wij het eten altijd even lekker en krijg je ook genoeg op je bord, alleen gisterenavond was ik niet echt tevreden over het eten . Ik had donderdag al gebeld of ze misschien mosselen hadden , maar die waren helaas uitverkocht hoogstwaarschijnlijk zouden ze van het weekend weer mosselen krijgen . Dus toen we gisterenavond er waren kregen we te horen dat ze nog één portie mosselen hadden, en aangezien ik heel graag mosselen wilde eten had in mij die dus ook besteld. Alleen was ik niet echt tevreden over de mosselen , want er zaten veel mosselen tussen die niet open waren of niet ver genoeg open waren waardoor ik die niet kon eten . En op een gegeven moment had ik zelfs een mossel in mijn mond die alleen echt helemaal onder het zand zat , maar daarbij ook nog eens heel vies smaakte , dus die mossel heb ik ook gelijk uitgespuugd , het zand van deze mossel zat echt tussen mijn tanden, daarna durfde ik de rest van de mosselen niet meer op te eten omdat ik echt geen zin had om ziek te worden van een verkeerde mossel. Ik heb het personeel daarvan op de hoogte gebracht , ik heb ook een wat oudere man die ons later de frietjes nog kwam brengen daar ook van op de hoogte gebracht , zelfs gezegd dit is de laatste keer dat ik hier mosselen heb gegeten " maar buiten dat er een beetje lachend op gereageerd werd van " dit komt misschien omdat dit ook de laatste portie mosselen waren, en ik zal het doorgeven " werd er verder niet echt op gereageerd , en daar ben ik toch niet écht over te spreken. Dus voor mij nooit meer mosselen bij Jill Murphy's , die ga ik mij in het vervolg wel...
