Piccola Italia — Restaurant in Rotterdam

My god I wish I've discovered this place sooner. I've ordered a pizza with mozzarella basil and I assume what should've been cherry tomatoes did not come with cherry tomatoes, but the flavour was so damn good. It's definitely a pizza I'd use a knife and fork with though. It fell apart quite easily but the flavour is so good. The crust is by no means cardboard flavoured like most places and it's actually pretty decent by itself.

Also had the pasta carbonara and it seems like they know what they're doing. The pasta came a bit more overcooked than I'd personally like but that's most likely because it kept cooking while packaged tightly for delivery. I got it with the tagliatelle but I'll most likely get it with the penne next time because it breaks apart too easily when the pasta is slightly overcooked.

Tldr: Give it a shot because the flavour is actually so good. They definitely have some small things to work on though.

Please give this individual in the kitchen some cherry tomatoes...

I ate here some time ago because my husband booked it through Fork. It was suprisingly authentic, delicious and relatively affordable. I had a baked fish which was well flavoured. It left such a good impression, I decided to go there again and I wasnt disappointed. I got a seafood pasta and a bruschetta. The food is still very good. It's even better Italian food than the restaurants in my neighbourhood. I would recommend this because it's a private owned restaurant and it must have been difficult during the covid pandemic, yet the food quality...

Great food. Amazing service. Lovely ambiance. I ordered Pasta Pomodori e Basilico and it was definitely the best pasta that I have had so far in my 4 years of living in The Netherlands. My friend ordered Quatro Formaggi, and she was also very happy with it. We were so impressed that we promised ourselves to write them nice reviews....
