Dry and cold food. After almost 2 hours of waiting.

Here is what happened:

My order initially showed an estimated delivery time of 30 minutes. Suddenly, this time changed to 55 minutes.

After already waiting 45 minutes, I reached out for support through the app. However, the automated system only redirected me to contact the restaurant directly.

When I called the restaurant, I was told that they would only start preparing my food once Thuisbezorgd assigned a delivery driver. At that point, I asked for the order to be canceled, since the food had not even been started. The restaurant explained that they could not cancel it and that I should contact the app, which offers no real human support.

This back-and-forth between the app and the restaurant was extremely frustrating, especially because my wife is pregnant, and we had already been waiting a long time. In the end, after more than an hour without food, I had to cook our dinner myself. What was supposed to be an enjoyable evening turned into a stressful and disappointing situation.

The food finally arrived nearly 2 hours after I placed the order. By then, we had already eaten what I prepared at home, I no longer wanted it after such a negative experience. I paid €46 for this order, which I never consumed.

Packaging of the delivery was superbly done, very well and appealing packaging.

Coming to the food, I tried the duck burger for the first time ever, I have to say I am not sure I will order it again, maybe it is not for me :) but credit where it is due, brioche buns were perfectly baked, the quantity of duck meat was generous (I got the large size), the fries were good and in nice quantity. Duck meat burgers were tasty. Not too expensive also. But they're very small place. Tables are on the pawement so people concanstly walking next to you. Also it's on the crossing, so it's busy traffic, trams, buses make it a very loud and not so comfortable experience.
