Brasserie Westbeer — Restaurant in Terneuzen

The service started of good. But after ordering our food we sadly had to experience some difficulties. Apparently there were 2 carpaccio dishes. My mother in law ended up getting the opposite of what she thought she ordered. We asked the waitress what the difference was and she just gave us a sassy vibe and said this is what she ordered. Even though it wasn't. We called for a waiter that did look like he knew what the difference is between the moon and the sun, we told him our concerns and he did indeed admit we had gotten the wrong order. Me and my boyfriend ordered a tosti and we asked for ketchup because they didn't serve it with the food. But they apparently forgot about it so our tosti went cold before we got the ketchup. In my opinion the girl with the red rash above her lip should be educated a bit more about how to work at a restaurant. Anyway the food was good, even though the kroketten vlees that we ordered did not have...

Service was catastrophic. Unfriendly and clumsy server (spilled our neighbors drink). We waited 1h for one poké bowl, toast and a sandwich. The food was also horrible. The so called "poké bowl" was normal rice (not sushi rice) had lettuce leaves in it (no poké bowl has that normally) and had a cheap mayonnaise dip instead of the wasabi. The BLT Sandwiche was the driest I have ever had with almost no sauce (on request they brought us extra sauce).

I'd like to say that the restaurant saw (after a lot of complaining) that it was their fault and "not up to their standards".

The food here is pretty good which is why I decided to give four stars versus three but the service is poor and there is usually a long wait.

We have had to wait so long to order food and even longer to ask for the bill. When we call the waiter over, they don’t acknowledge us until we ask at least a second or third time.
