Very quiet little town,nice walk next to canal.staff extremely friendly and helpful.common areas very nice.rooms in main hotel very basic and very disappointing.small and furnished like a boarding school hostel.we were given the choice of a room in the old,renovated cloister,which was much better.good sized room,private,free parking.tough to carry your suitcases up two flights of stairs and no help from the staff.all the rooms very clean and fresh smelling.breakfast typical continental but very good.we had dinner and our waiter was a little bit confused,brusque at times but helpful and funny at times.the tomato soup was excellent.the Zeeuwse mussels were disappointing,small,had different colours and the sauce was an unappetising ,watery salt and parsley sauce.we did not even use the bread to mop it up.......all in all a mixed bag.there are not many choices of hotels in this area,not too bad if you have...

The eatery and bar looks great for such a small town hotel with good staff. Although not so good as I arrived at 920 pm and it closed at 9. Bummer. SO i will give the place the benefit of the doubt.||||The rooms. wow. if you are travelling solo then please ensure you are 100 percent positive as you shall be tested. The rooms are total suicide material. Book a single room and it could be equivalent to jumping off a bridge as the decor and size is east Europe pre 1980.||||As a couple for a dirty weekend, also forget it. The walls are so thin you can hear the folks in the next room pick their nose.||||Plus point, the bed mattresses are superb and well sprung.||||so in summary, have a lovely massive dinner, get drunk so you dont notice how...
