This place is a truly hidden gem. We were a bit unsure about going to this place at first as it’s located in a building that does not look super inviting or promising culinary-wise, but as soon as we stepped into the restaurant itself we were pleasantly surprised. The interior is tastefully designed, the staff was inviting and kind, and last but not least the sushi was fresh, creative and TASTY. The dessert (cheesecake) blew our minds both in terms of taste and presentation. Their sauvignon blanc is an absolute favourite wine of ours now! I particularly appreciated the shef’s personal statement at the front of the menu; it gave us an understanding of just how passionate and dedicated he is to make our dining experience unforgettable. Absolutely fantastic dining experience. I had the 4 course surprise menu and was amazed by the quality of the local ingredients (e.g. beef from cows grazing 300 metres away from the restaurant), the Indonesian twist on many of the courses, the amazing service and the excellent wine pairings. Restaurant aan het vliegveld met een weids uitzicht over de polder en de landingsbaan. Goed om rekening te houden dat met warm weer de zon goed het terras op schijnt (terras kan deels overkapt worden) en het er lekker door kan waaien.

Ter plekke de lunchkaart gevraagd en er stonden naast de standaard dingen (carpaccio e.d.) ook wat verrassende broodjes op. Uiteindelijk voor de flatbread pulled chicken gekozen. Dit was gelukkig geen standaard pulled chicken met BBQ saus o.i.d., maar in Bali style met veel groenten/bijlagen en erg lekker gekruide pulled chicken. Mocht je geen grote trek hebben: het is een behoorlijke beuker van een broodje, dus neem goede honger mee. Bediening was attent en opmerkzaam, niet te opdringerig of afwezig. Kan me wel voorstellen dat in laagseizoen met weinig bezetting de grote eetruimte of een bijna leeg terras wat kaal en sfeerloos aandoet.
