Palermo Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in The Hague

While the staff were VERY friendly and polite with a decent looking restaurant with a wide variety of food choices. We had to wait a fair amount of time after our main course, but the reason I'm giving it a low rating is because of what it did.

I had a nice meal with friends and my girlfriend. I ordered a vegetable pizza and my SO had pasta. My pizza didn't really have much flavour, where it tasted quite bland although it was cooked greatly.

After our meal me and my partner both had stomach ache, mine passed after a few hours of rest but my other half got food poisoning from the pasta. She was sick and felt bad for several days where we had to take this to the doctor.

We won't be coming here again. I don't know why it happened but both of us felt bad after eating here. I don't want to put you off eating here as it is nice, just take...

this was the worst restaurant I have ever ordered from. The food came 20 minutes before it was supposed to, the tracker on Thuizbezorgd is wrong, and the food was horrendous. The spaghetti tasted like it came out of a microwave, and it was hard and old. The oil was so excessive and it was obvious that it was a very cheap oil. The pizza was a bit better although it was still very oily and didn’t taste very good. I am furious with this restaurant for tricking me by making their reviews look good with 4.3 stars, which it does not at all deserve. My stomach became upset after eating this food along with my families as well. I do not recommend this place. Dont be fooled...

Gisteren gegeten bij Palermo, onze buurt-Italiaan waar ik regelmatig pizza’s haalde. Helaas een schokkend slechte ervaring. Mijn zus bestelde een pasta bolognese, maar kreeg een waterige, smakeloze saus die totaal niet leek op een echte bolognese, die traditioneel met rode wijn wordt bereid.

Toen we dit netjes meldden, beloofde de serveerster het door te geven, maar er gebeurde niets. Na opnieuw aandringen kwam de eigenaar. In plaats van normaal te luisteren, koos hij ervoor om fel de discussie aan te gaan en beschuldigde hij mijn zus ervan dat het haar eigen schuld was. Hij bleef herhalen dat zijn saus “correct” was en zwaaide zelfs met de menukaart, in plaats van professioneel en klantvriendelijk te reageren.

In de horeca hoort service en respect centraal te staan, niet klanten wegzetten of in discussie verwikkelen als ze een terechte klacht hebben. Toen mijn zus op rustige wijze aangaf dat zijn houding ongepast was, weigerde hij alsnog excuses aan te bieden.

Wat ooit een vriendelijke buurt-Italiaan was, blijkt nu een plek waar gebrek aan klantvriendelijkheid en respect voor gasten de boventoon voeren. Wij komen hier nooit meer terug.
