Places that don't provide a decent check-in service don't understand their market. This 'accommodation' is a restaurant with chalets. I appreciate that the restaurant closes on some days but if you know a guest is checking in, you need to provide them with decent information about what you expect/do. We eventually found a gardener, possibly the owner, who knows!?! He found our names by disappearing into a kitchen before informing us where we were staying. The chalet was waiting for us with a chair keeping the door shut. As information was thin on the ground, we declined the bag of linen in favour of our own, as a small paragraph on the website implied we may have to pay twelve euros each for. That aside I liked the chalet. Yes it was basic but it had naïve charm. It was warm, dry and comfortable. Despite the small kitchen we managed to cook for ourselves. We only stayed one night and we were not sure if we needed to check out. We had given the website our credit card details after all. Once we'd finished cleaning the chalet we attempted to check out. Again with little information we crept into the restaurant and discovered two people eating breakfast. We asked if we needed to check out, they said no as all was paid for. It wasn't until I pointed out that we hadn't paid tourist tax that, on further investigation, the lady determined we hadn't paid at all. She didn't quite tell us off but we were made to feel naughty. I did point out that maybe someone should have greeted us. My top tip is arrive when the place is shut, find an unlocked chalet, use your own bedding, clean up after you and I'm fairly certain no one...
Read moreVery bad experience. Rude and impolite, they lost our reservation of two nights and only because our Dutch friend explained the situation the woman at the check in admitted the mistake, even though we spoke English and we had a confirmation email. At the beginning she told us we had not reservation, after half an hour she told us we had reserved only one night and after my Dutch friend called them by phone she admitted we had a reservation for 2 nights. She offered a night in another hotel for one night and we could had come back the day after for one night. The other hotel was 20 minutes far by car but we had not accepted because there was another one available very close to this one and we wanted two nights in the same place because we had plans and didn’t want to waste time in check in and check out. Maybe we would have accepted if the woman had been kind but she was so rude and unwelcoming that we just wanted to go far from that place. She has been so unpleasant that we were not interested anymore they paid for their mistake. We just didn’t want to stay there one minute more. It was dinner time and we arrived after many hours traveling and we received only impoliteness. So unpleasant experience which has lasted at least one hour. Unacceptable. We have some Dutch friends who live really close and we have told them what happened in order to avoid advising this place anymore. My suggestion for this camping is to recommend this woman to be polite and welcoming and offer at least a glass of water and a chair while she does her (wrong)...

But then the manager / owner took over and was very rude and told us that everything was fine and if we had a problem we could just find another place to stay (Time is around 9:00 PM) as they where fully booked. ||||The cabins are heated with Gas and in our cabin we had like an open fireplace also on Gas that felt like it was not been serviced in years so we decided not to use it and turn it off with the gas switch going up to the device. ||||All in all a very bad experience and for sure not a place I will ever...
