China Dragon — Restaurant in Utrecht

After the news that the best takeaway food in NL is just around the corner, we decided to order a bunch of things to try it out.

Once entering the establishment, you get invited into the typical Chinese restaurant atmosphere. The staff was friendly and very busy, great respect for that.

Highlight of the things we ordered was the babi pangang China dragon, we really liked that. The shrimp with mushrooms sauce I didn't like that much, and overal the quality was pretty good compared to other Chinese restaurants I've visited. (And as usual the portions are huge)

It's nice that they also have kids menus and fries so there is something for everyone, would...

Although my friend did like her ossenhaas dish, she did complain about the lack of heating and substandard seating in the waiting area for take away. I did not enjoy my gado gado. There was way too much water in it. I think they just cooked the veggies and put them in the satay sauce without straining the veggies first. Big and basic mistake I wouldn't make myself. It's like they never tasted their own creation or something.. This is not acceptable at any price and certainly not since better and cheaper food options are readily available in this...

29/7/2025 Hieronder was helaas een niet prettige ervaring. Na het in contact te zijn gekomen met elkaar, hebben zij dit serieus aangepakt. Ik kan niet anders zeggen, dat zij dit zeer goed hebben opgepakt. Wat een goede klantgerichte actie!!! Het eten, hoeveelheid, was perfect. Eenmaal bij bezorging werd er nog even een welgemeend excuus gegeven.

Wat een top service!!!! fēi cháng gǎn xiè

Eerste deel: 9/6/2025 Erg jammer dit. Wederom hier besteld en je merkt dat de kwaliteit achteruit gaat. Nu wederom een bestelling van ruim 60,- eenmaal bezorgd, kon ik thuis zelf weer eerst voor chef spelen om alles eerst op te warmen. Het enige van de bestelling wat lauw was, was de ossenhaas. De rest kon ik eerst allemaal gaan opwarmen. Ga je maar klooien met je kipsate in de saus om op te warmen.

Verder de gado gado, gewoon een handje vol tauge in een bakje in de pindasaus. Denk dat de meeste wel weten wat er in standaard in hoort.

De koeloekai doorweekt in de saus, gewoon letterlijk een deegbal, wat normaal lekker krokant is. Overal wordt de saus apart gedaan. Nu het voor de zoveelste keer gebeurde, ben ik er wel klaar mee en vind dit een rede in een review...
