Hightide Surf & Food — Restaurant in Velsen

It's not worth going there. Disappointing. It's more of a dog place. Both the restaurant and the beach. We had lunch there on some pitiful tables... when we got there there were Dutch people with their feet on the tables and they also had 2-3 dogs with them. While we were eating, dogs came to lick your feet. This is unacceptable at a place to eat. Poor menu... the food tastes great but the service leaves something to be desired. slammed on the table and scattered all over the plate. We went there on the recommendation and other reviews.... but... No. No..look for...

Afgelopen zondag, 22 september, hebben we gegeten bij Hightide Surf en Food. Mijn dochter komt er heel graag, ook omdat het sfeervol en gezellig is ingericht, maar vooral omdat het personeel zo vriendelijk is. Mijn dochter eet dan graag Churros met wat slagroom. We lopen er speciaal vanuit Seaport Marina IJmuiden naartoe, bijna tot aan het einde van het strand, om daar onze lekkernijen te nuttigen en voor mij dan een cappuccino.

's Avonds hadden we besloten om er te gaan eten. Augustin (de kok) en Darieke (de bediening) werkten die avond. Ik nam de Enchiladas, wat een voortreffelijk gerecht was! Alle smaken waren zo waanzinnig goed gemaakt dat ik er zelfs met Darieke over heb gesproken hoe smaakvol het was. Echt respect voor de kok die dit heeft bereid. Ook mijn dochter heeft heerlijk gegeten, en voor haar is dit nu haar lievelingsrestaurant.

De sfeer, de bediening en het voortreffelijke eten met uitzicht op het strand doen je in de breedste zin van het woord genieten. Wie op zaterdag of zondag echt even wil genieten van Mexicaans eten, zou ik zeker aanraden Hightide Surf en Food te bezoeken.

Ze zijn het hele jaar open op zaterdag en zondag. Absoluut...

Stopped at HighTide after walking through the park. Needed to warm up and saw Fish Soup on the Menu. Nice and light, not too creamy. Saw the chef prepare it himself and add the final herbs at the end for a well balanced, freshly made, and tasty soup. The apple pie was also nice and the staff...
