Kinko — Restaurant in Velsen

There were several things wrong. 1) I ordered on the phone about celebrating a birthday there but the day I actually came there, the discount birthday action was cancelled. Not nice to not tell me any earlier. 2). My wife had for more than a whole day a dry throat after eating here, regardless of the amount of fluit she drunk. We didn't have this at any other restaurant, so we suspect the amount of MSG used on some foods. 3.) Also some dishes like the duck were almost only fried outer shell with tomato ketchup and little duck meat. I was surprised about the poor quality the Chinese cooks now provided. And worst of all, one lamb rack was pork meat. I have been a manager at a large food company, I recognise the meat structure & taste even if there are herbs on them and I get somatch issues after pork. The waiter checked and didn't deny this. A pity because in the past I have eaten here several times happily with friendly staff. The service and food used to be good. ...

An all you can eat Japanese restaurant, also with a la carte it seems. We were there at dinner. Horrible experience. Food quality is not good! It’s cold, taste either of bad oil or just of nothing good and takes forever! We only ordered the second round after over one and a half hour and really just wanted to leave. One of the last dishes was squid stick, with weird white small things in it that we couldn’t chew and udon noodles which was so so soft and in a tasteless weird sauce. Should have known already when we saw that the soups you could get on this Japanese restaurant was tomato or asparagus (!) - no miso, no broth, no Japanese soups at all. But we’ll, you can get fries and frikadelle .. And (luckily) the small dishes and sushi...

Well, this place is more typical of "meh" Japanese buffet in NL. It doesn't compare to Sumo Sushi chain. I don't recommend it unless you have a mean craving.

Plus: kids under 4 eat free, cute interior with large booths, nice waitresses, reasonable a la carte menu, inkvisspies.
