I've been to sushimi multiple times now. Every single time the experience has been worth it. Even when it's busy, even when I was tired, even we had to wait to get seated. The sushi and meals are all prepared fresh to order, after ordering via a tablet. And I can not understate: the food is excellent! One of the best sushi I've had in the Netherlands. Lots of variety, from traditional sushi to fried foods, soups, hand rolls, grilled yakitori and much more. Enough to not get bored in multiple sittings.
The service is quick, but sometimes an order gets forgotten or delayed significantly. But in general, the waiters are friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere is a little bit cramped, especially in the main dining area. They pack a lot of folks in, and it can get busy. Dispite that, it doesn't feel loud or like I want to leave. There is a small play area for childeren, but it is elsewhere so they are not a nuisance to the diner guests.
Sushimi is a place I love to go. It's recommended you do make a reservation, because during diner rush they can be quite busy. It doesn't mean you have to wait longer on your food, they have good staff. The parking situation is a bit questionable, but who worries about that during diner. I will come here again and again untill I no longer live in north Limburg. And even then, I might come by when...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I come here often and we generally like it very much. The price is fair and the appearance of the restaurant is very decent.
However I do have some tips after having eaten here at least 10 times. The music is always the same, consisting of pop song covers with over represented vocals; it can be quite annoying hearing the same woman singing in your right or left ear for the entire evening. I think Asian-style music would be way more fitting and could more tolerably be repeated than Adele, which you hear on the radio all day already.
Aside from that the quality of the sushi is different (better) on the weekends. The shape isn't always the same, sometimes even being too large to fit comfortably in your mouth. The rice felt pretty dry on occasion, making it hard to swallow since it stuck to my throat.
Also: communicate with each other about drinks, they are often wrong or forgotten and the waiters walk away before making sure they got it right.
Apart from that we really like this restaurant and hope to eat here again. We hope you find our...
Read moreSushimi is the first sushi all you can eat restaurant in th area of Venlo. Before Sushimi a fancy Japanese restaurant existed placed here. The sushi here is decent for the all you can eat experience, and so are the hot foods you get. The only thing I personally dislike is that some sushi are combined with mayonaise. I always refer food like that to snackbar food, but that's something you come across all all you can eat sushi restaurant. Furthermore there are only a few experienced waiters, the problem here is that it's a common occurrence food gets forgotten. My last visit an inexperienced waiter also dropped soup on my friend.
