It was horrible!! me (23) and my little sister (21) wanted to stay for one night to enjoy and relax as sisters. it was a hot day today, but the receptionist wasn't sure if there was a vantilator in the room. when we received our key, we entered the elevator and the elevator made lots of sounds, and was kinda unstable like it could fall down at any moment. we then entered the hallway in search of our room, the lights in the whole hotel (especially the hallways) were dimly light and it was very dark. we even tript over the floorboard before finding our room. when trying to enter the room there were two older men there watching us with lustfull eyes. they were staying in the room next to us and were watching our every move to see in which room we were going. the keycard to get into the room didnt work making us very anxious because of the creepy men in the dimly lit hotel. my little sister and I went back to the reception and told the staff that our keycard didnt work and she said that it was because the card shouldnt be hold next to a phone cause then it erasses the information on it. we found this wierd, but then she helped us by doing something with the card to fix it that it will work this time. we went back up to our room, this time we took the stairs.... when getting there we again heard male voices and when we got there, there were 3 different guys than before, they were also staring and waiting for us. when they kept waithing and watching us creepily, we decided that we better leave and went back to the receptionist and the 3 guys guys followed us the whole time. we had to tell the staff about the guys and we even showed (by pointing at them) who they were and what had happened. the receptionist didn't do anything about the situation. She told us that there were 5 males that came in a group all belonging toghether and they were staying in the 4 rooms next to us. so that whole hallway was for them and we stayed in the middle of all of them. we were the only girls there between this group of older creepy males. the receptionist didnt offer us another room, and we also didnt get our money back. she didnt even say anything to the male guys that followed us, even afther pointing them out to her. what if something would have went wrong and those guys tried to do something to me and my sister?.... We were not sticking around to find out what could happen. our safety comes first and if the staff does not care for us the female customers traveling alone and not even trying to help in a situation where things were defenitly dangerous... than they are not doing a good job. even after telling them the situation they said that those men were also customers and that she couldnt do nothing. the hotel was out dated, dark, elevator was going to fall, hotel doorkeys that dont work and even staff that doesnt care about the safety of their travelers. I would not recommend anybody to go there, because it is a waste of money and time. and when there is a dangerous situation than they will probably do nothing till it is to late.please everybody remember that your safety comes first and that a hotel should also be a place to make you feel safe and relaxed and this was definitly not the case in...
Read moreDO NOT BOOK! We recently stayed at Fletcher Hotel and, unfortunately, had a very mixed experience. Upon our arrival, the reception and restaurant staff were absolutely lovely—friendly, welcoming, and professional. However, our experience on the last day was the complete opposite, leaving us with a sour impression of the hotel.
The staff present during our departure were extremely rude and unhelpful. We were accused of not having paid for our rooms, despite having booked through Booking.com and providing clear email confirmation of our payment. This unnecessary confrontation was both stressful and embarrassing.
Lotte, a waitress in the restaurant, was particularly dismissive and had an attitude when we asked for some simple information. Even worse, Max, the hotel manager, was patronising and failed to manage the situation appropriately. Instead of apologising or attempting to de-escalate the issue, he appeared defensive and unwilling to take responsibility for what he later admitted was an issue with staff training due to a new system implementation.
The most upsetting part was when Max made an inappropriate comment in front of other guests, stating, “At least you are lucky you ate for free.” This remark felt demeaning and completely out of line, as it suggested that we couldn’t afford to pay for the meal. We couldn’t help but feel that this comment carried an undertone of prejudice, which was deeply upsetting and unacceptable.
Additionally, the breakfast offering is very limited and certainly not worth the €17.50 per person charged. The rooms were another major disappointment—outdated, dirty, and with toilets that had an unpleasant odour throughout our stay.
All in all, despite the warm welcome we received at the start and amazing service from Hassan, the overall experience was let down by unprofessional and, at times, offensive behaviour from some staff, as well as subpar facilities. We would not recommend...
Read moreMy experience at the Fletcher Hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. I arrived late at 12am, having booked last minute. The evening receptionist gave me my card key, and I proceeded to shower and relax in my room. ||However, at 1am, I was startled by a persistent knock on my door. I felt vulnerable, not wearing any clothes, but assumed it was a guest who had mistakenly chosen the wrong room. To my horror, the knocking continued, with no explanation or movement from the other side. After three minutes, another knock, and my unease grew. I finally asked who was there, and to my disbelief, it was the night receptionist.||His reason for being at my door at 1am? "Breakfast." I shouted a resounding NO and quickly locked the door. I was a solo female traveler, in the dead of night, and the person responsible for the hotel's security was knocking on my door for no valid reason. He lingered outside for an agonizing five minutes before I heard noises from the room next to mine.||This experience was not just uncomfortable; it was profoundly inappropriate and alarming. I felt trapped, with nowhere to turn. Paying 100€ for a good night's sleep should not entail being disturbed by the night receptionist under such unsettling circumstances. I clutched my aluminum water bottle in fear, fearing he might attempt to enter my room. That night, I barely slept.||I cannot stress this enough: If you are a woman traveling alone, AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. The Fletcher Hotel provided me with an experience that was not only uncomfortable but also deeply...
