Passed by Robin many times since arriving the NL, but never once brought bread here ... always arriving too late with most stuff sold out. Strolled by one morning and got some breads - OH MY!! What have I missed all these time! I love the caramelized aroma and the chewy texture of the french baguette. It's crispy outside and slightly moist inside, with a subtle salty taste - just the way I like it! Got the spelt bread for my husband who is a fussy eater, and he couldn't stop praising how good it was! Read moreI am French and Breton and this is not how kouign amann should taste like... It should have a lot more butter and far less air bubbles. The bread is fine but lack of salt to my taste. The bread texture did improve over time, the crunch is better now than it was before. French people out there: be aware when you fancy an eclair! It might be covered in chocolate but the filling is of a different taste.
