Meh. 'welcomed' (used very loosely here) by disinterested and/or hung over waiter, barely willing to acknowledge our existence. Bird poop on tables and chairs, grudgingly removed by said non-plussed waiter. By this time a second, way more friendly waiter arrived, bumping this review from a 2 to a 3 star. Had a nice coffee and fresh orange juice and the house breakfast menu. Enjoyed the taco with scrambled eggs, avocado, bacon and pico-de-gallo! Croissant was also nice. Yoghurt just your pre packaged, run-of-the-mill grocery store type (meh).

Afgelopen seizoenen hebben we hier regelmatig gezeten en gegeten, maar na de ervaring van vandaag komen we niet meer terug. We hebben meerdere keren gevraagd of we konden bestellen en werden pas na een halfuur geholpen. Super vriendelijke bediening trouwens, maar de tafel werd niet schoongemaakt en we hebben daarom zelf maar het vieze serviesgoed van de vorige gasten aan de kant gezet. Op zich allemaal niet erg (in elk geval geen negatieve review waard), want het was druk, maar toen we onze bestelling kregen waren we enorm verbaasd. Zie hier een foto van het dessert (á €9,-) wat ik kreeg voorgeschoteld: niet wat op de kaart stond qua samenstelling (en gewoon heel slecht, als het gesmolten chocola was geweest, was het in elk geval nog lekker geweest). Om over de looks maar niet te spreken. Ook de garnalenkroketjes waren om te huilen. In de 7 kroketjes zat er in welgeteld eentje 1 garnaal. Verder waren ze maar halfgevuld en ook absoluut niet het geld waard. Kortom, de keuken heeft de boel duidelijk niet op orde en wij gaan voortaan bij de buren zitten.

We went here for the first time, and tried the best of the menu, the fish & chips and bait salade was really good, the next two days we came back. The latte macchiato waa amazing. I mean if i come back to a restaurant, i mean i litterally like it👌 The view to the ocean is better here. Compared to other beaches.it’s high so you can see the ocean clearly.

Literally the only nice thing about this place is the view. And our expectations were NOT high. Beachside food won’t be great but how bad can fish & chips and a hamburger be? ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. My husband is the least picky eater ever and he couldn’t eat the hamburger - a simple hamburger. And the staff - oh my god!!! Varied from nasty to a slight smile with clear agitation and useless. Um no we didn’t receive silverware even though we had our food, had to stand up and recruit someone to take our order - oh and it was slightly off the busy time with tons of staff working. RUN AWAY...

Really disappointed by our experience today. We’ve been going to Bait for years and have been used to a diversified and very tasty menu. Sadly this year’s menu left much to be desired. Even the fried calamaris appetizers came across as dry. The beef burger was made of a processed patty: at €20, our expectations were high. The fish burger was made of three miserable looking fish nuggets placed between a bun. The service was friendly, to be fair, but the food is nothing close to what it used to be. We really felt unimpressed by this experience. We hope the new owners take note of this and make...
