Misshi Sushi — Restaurant in Weert

It is a wonderful experience to enter this place. If you come early then no reservations is needed. We got a nice spot at the window and good service! It is an all you can eat sushi restaurant, rules are simple: 1) you can order 5 items per person per round 2) you got 2.5 hours to eat and prices of side dishes and drinks are separate from the main price 3) leave something on the plate might cost you an euro or two. The sushi and fried food is great, thought the udon is quite heavy on the stomach. We kinda expected to have like a dessert on the menu but couldn’t find any. Very cold welcome by the boss. Not a good sign. Friendly waitresses and fast service though, but boy, NOT worth it. We tried a wide variety of items from the menu the food was consistently too sweet, as if they added some sort of teriyaki sauce to literally everything.By contrast, the miso soup and the stew were way too salty. Be aware that the "good" stuff (tuna sashimy and scallops for instance) is not part of the all-you-can-eat meal... nor are any drinks (not even the tea). Door omstandigheden kon onze reservering gisteren niet doorgaan en konden we ook niet tijdig afbellen. We werden echter keurig gebeld door een medewerker van dit restaurant welke zeer begripvol en uiterst vriendelijk was. Vanavond alsnog dit restaurant bezocht en onze verwachtingen geheel laten overtreffen. Nooit eerder hebben we een Sushi restaurant bezocht waar zowel de Sushi als de bijgerechten super lekker (en vers!) waren. Bij andere restaurants was er altijd wel een gerecht wat tegen viel, hier was alles gewoon helemaal perfect! Bediening is ontzettend vriendelijk en super snel. Bij andere restaurants loop je vaak toch tegen wat stagnatie in de snelheid aan na de eerste ronde, hier totaal niet.

De minder positieve recensies welke hier geschreven zijn kan ik totaal niet plaatsen. Wij hebben een nieuwe plek waar wij voortaan heen gaan als we Sushi...
