Indian Taj Mahal Tandoori and Sweets — Restaurant in Zoetermeer

Had wonderful experience with this restaurant. I was in Zoetermeer NH hotel during my business travel to Netherlands and ordered Indian food from this restaurant. Trust me, it really tasted as Indian food.

The owner of this restaurant is very kind, by mistake I had selected "pickup" instead of "delivery" during ordering the food in the App. Later when I enquired over phone why there was delay in the delivery, he confirmed that you had selected as pickup so you have to come and collect the order/food. I informed him that I am new to this place and today I came here from India so I don't know how to reach your place as it shows 8 kms from my hotel. Then he started speaking in Hindi, the response he gave made me really feel happy - "Don't worry Sir, I will manage. I can send a delivery boy to your place so you can pay him delivery charges".

But, I did not have change as I was using my credit card for all the transactions. Still the owner said, "that's ok Sir, no need to worry, we will arrange it for free delivery..You enjoy with your food, Have a nice day"

It was really surprising to see such a wonderful people around when you are nearly 8000kms from your home country, they really made me feel like as if I am in my home country and ordering food from a know restaurant.

For rest of the days during my stay at Zoetermeer, I always ordered from this restaurant. The food from here really helped me to survive there as I could see only Sandwich, Burger and other items which I don't like much. As a Vegetarian, I always preferred Indian food and this restaurant served the purpose.

We had an incredible experience. The food was fresh and authentic. We devoured the Afghan rice Kabuli Pulao" or "Qabili Palau". It is a traditional Afghan dish made with basmati rice, raisins, carrots, and often includes lamb or chicken. The dish is known for its fragrant spices and slightly sweet taste from the raisins and carrots. We had the silkiest butter chicken and the sheer Kurma Naan with raisins coconut and almonds. Our friends had the lamb and the grilled meat platter with was delicious too. We had samosas and dal soup as well that was outstanding. There's a wonderful menu you can enjoy for a fixed price but honestly the owners were just the kindest, gave us so much attention and extras. Don't forget the home made chain they serve. You'll thank me later...

Ordered palak aloo, chicken balti, lambi balti.for main course and onion bhajee and chicken tikka for starters.

Chicken tikka was too less and not that flavorful. Chicken balti, lamb balti with rice and naam were very nice, onion bhajee was also nice. Palak aloo quite flavorful and nice.

But the service was not great at all. Too slow, chaotic, and the guys who were working were so nonplussed about serving customers, the girl who was working as waitress was talking well and attentive but also kept asking what you want before giving enough time., had to keep Telling please give us some time to decide.
