Not normally a Google reviewer but felt compelled to act on this one.

We ordered 3 pieces of fresh snapper. Fish was rubbery and batter soggy. It certainly wasn’t fresh and I question whether it was even snapper.

We raised it with the store and were told that it was pulled ‘fresh’ from the freezer on the day of our order. Hmmm.

Apparently they said this is standard practice with all F&C shops in NZ. I was surprised enough to check this with another store, who confirmed their fresh fish comes in fresh each day.

In any event - whatever the reason - we paid top dollar for some super average fish and chips. Very disappointing end to our...

Worst food ever. Sour puss behind the counter. Mussels small and over cooked. Scallops sliced in half. Fish was supposed to be dory was full of bones, glad I had it and not the kids. (still trying to decide what fish it was). All wrapped in paper which by the time we got to the car the paper had absorbed the oil and fell apart, so we had a total mess to clean up. NEVER would I recommend this place and it will be the last time I waste...
