What a cool wee bar, went with a friend to see her friends band with an 80s theme ... wow what a great night :) Staff were very pleasant drinks were served fast, we got loaded wedges very hot and covered in cream cheese, cheese and bacon. Yum. The toilets were easy to get to and no lines. Totally recommend this bar if you are looking for a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. There's $20 roast meals on Sundays just FYI. The Danger80s band were fantastic, all the 80s classics, easy to sing along too and two really good sets. Room to dance and sing along. They are playing on the 1st May at the Richmond Club. Totally recommend this band if you love good music, a laugh and a dance.

🍓: Wow. Actually blown away with how incredible the food was. One of the best burgers I've had in a looong time. Fish and chips that were actually worth the price tag AND they have incredible specials like two for one steaks (that are actually cooked so well?!). Don't even get me started on the desserts, or we'll be here all day! ✨️: With the location and inclusion of a bar and gambling space, you wouldn't expect the welcoming and warm lovely family vibe you get as soon as you enter. The staff were all so lovely and great when it came to allergies and intolerances. Follow Foodie Mama NZ on Insta for more reviews 🥰

Good service. Good pub. Might be my new local when I'm out in Goon. Went there this week and unfortunately the blue cod and chips were not very good. Beer batter was thick and chewy more than crispy. I asked for my chops to be extra crunchy which they weren't. Ordered side of lemon pepper squid too which came to us floury and lacking in taste. On a good note they re-did it for me but kind of spoilt my appetite by then. Thankfully the partner is a greedy guts

I visited The Brook Bar on a Sunday afternoon and was left very disappointed. I initially asked for the pork bites but was told the kitchen was closed, and only a snack menu was available. I chose the chicken wings instead.

When the meal arrived, I was immediately put off by the look and smell of the chicken—it simply didn’t seem right. The taste confirmed my concerns; it was not enjoyable and felt far below acceptable standards. I approached the male manager to explain the issue and asked if I could swap the meal for nachos or receive a refund. He refused both requests, stating that no one else had complained that day. Instead, I was offered a takeaway box, which didn’t address the quality issue I had just raised.

I left promptly without a replacement meal or a refund. The lack of concern from the management was especially disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reluctant to return, and I hope this feedback prompts the team to take customer concerns more seriously...

My experience at the Brook Bar , The Brook Bar : as we walked through the doors you could sense it is more of a public bar than restaurant (no partitions or separation between the two ) as we were seated the noise and atmosphere was pretty full on from the public bar side (probably not the right place if your after a slightly quite night to go for a meal. THE FOOD: The one thing that surprised me was presentation of food was simply outstanding (note to self take photo of plate lol )it looked like a 5 star restaurant but as the saying gose don't judge a book by its cover.........well let me tell you as good as it looked ,it tasted simply outstanding the two other people withme were saying the same The only issue is portion sizes portions need to be balance (nit picking really lol) but overall absolutely outstanding this is just my opinion best thing id say is go and visit the brook and experience for yourself ENJOY.....ps parking is an issue if the...

Standards have slipped. Today was pretty bad, to be brutally honest.

I have been coming here quite regularly for the Roast Dinners, which are usually tender and well trimmed, with elegantly sliced and well presented vegetables, accompanied by good quality gravy and other sauces.

The roast beef was tough and fatty, the Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and very dry. The gravy was jelly-like and lacking flavour, and there was only a tiny spoonful of horseradish in the accompanying ramakin. The vegetables, were cooked adequately but lacked the aforementioned elegance.

The roast pork was 40% fat and the crackling smelt and tasted of fish. The vegetables were cooked and presented as above and there was barely a hint of gravy on the plate.

Had this of been my first time here at the Brook, unfortunately it would most...
