This shop is located in a row of shops on Yaldhurst Road. It is next to a dairy store and a fish 🐠 and chip 🍟 shop. Parking is a bit of problem as there is limited parking available at the front. However, there are plenty of street parking 🅿. There is a small dining area at the front while the cash counter is at the back. The Thai restaurant is clean and tidy. Dimly lit inside (I think they want to create a romantic atmosphere but I could be wrong) while other Thai restaurants are well lit. We've ordered a combination seafood curry and stir fried peanut sauce chicken 🐔. Tasty food 🍲 but I won't say it is 💯% authentic Thai food. There are many Thai restaurants in Christchurch that are more authentic taste, in terms of the freshness, spiciness and sourness of the dishes. Both dishes were good but more of fusion food. For those who like spicy food, I would suggest to ask extra spiciness or chilli. The combination seafood curry is not spicy enough for me (I like it hot but not Thai hot 😰). Friendly staff and good service. Reasonably priced for both dishes. Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth of opinion. Would I go back? Maybe.

We ordered food for two adults and two children tonight, and it was seriously delicious Thai food. We needed to get on here and say something. Every dish was actually amazing. We tried Spring roll lover (big hit with kids), as was the Crispy Squid with Tumeric and black pepper (they loved these as much as us), the Exotic Pad Thai with prawns (yum), Chispy Chicken with Sweet and Sour Sauce (classic and so good), Sweet Crispy pork ribs (holy smokes these are good), and the Beef Cheek Massaman Curry (the beef was sooo tender 🤤). Great value for money, and we have enough for a full dinner again tomorrow plus more. By all means get in and try this place. A+++.

I ordered massaman curry with beef cheek and jasmine rice as an add on. The dish was nothing like massaman but more of a Japanese curry which was sweet. It was quite plain as well. The beef was gamy and there were only onions and potatoes with it, unlike the usual variety of vegetables with a curry dish. Apart from that, the rice is probably the smallest in Christchurch. The lady was friendly though.

LVL 3 Update:

Appropriate physical distancing measures in place - order with confidence. Contactless pickup with clear COVID-19 messaging in view. Both the food and customers service was exceptional as always.

Previous Review:

Best beef cheek massaman curry in Christchurch! The food here is a little bit pricier than say Zab Thai down the road but it is significantly better! The staff are very friendly and we enjoy the early opening hours. It makes picking up Thai on the way home...
