Ethos Cafe: A Hidden Gem with a Side of Social Consciousness Tucked away from the main road, Ethos Cafe is a delightful discovery for anyone seeking a unique and thought-provoking cafe experience. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a captivating wall covered in an eclectic mix of art, posters, and quotes that instantly sets the tone for this unconventional establishment. The cafe itself has a cool, almost bohemian vibe, with mismatched furniture and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. I ordered an omelette, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The coffee was also decent, a solid brew that paired well with my meal. But what truly sets Ethos apart is its commitment to social and environmental causes. The cafe is clearly more than just a place to grab a bite; it's a hub for community and activism. The messages on the wall, the books on the shelves, and even the conversations at neighboring tables all contribute to a sense of shared purpose and passion.

This place makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, people working for the community and helping artists, potters, and creatives get their names out and be seen. All under the umbrella of a cafe, but it is so much more than that. The food and people are absolute stars! The menu is world class and presented so well. The building is loaded with character and it is just so fun and cozy. Today I had an iced mocha and the big breakfast. The karage chicken was juicy and succulent and ever so yummy. The sausage roll was delectable. The portions were generous, and it is great value for money. Treat yourself and go and visit these guys!!!

Best pumpkin soup in town. And it's vegan! Coffee is average but all the food I've tried so far is great. I recommend the avocado on toast. This place is great for vegan, gluten free, paleo and organic options. Great range of free trade teas. Superb smoothies. Yummy slices. Lovely atmosphere. We love all the political art and the old school china. Good value for money too.

"Ethos" the hidden gem. I highly recommend this cafe for the coffee, food, service, and more importantly what it stands for. We were greeted with a warm and inviting welcome and smile. The coffee was fantastic rich and smooth with a good hit. The decor suits the vibe perfectly. A sort of eclectic mix of old and new that made you feel a sense of belonging and relaxation. I also really enjoyed the soulful mix of music that wasn't over powering but rather put me in a mood of wanting to sing along and dance but also gave me an emotional connection to the place. I had the mince on toast with a poached egg and it was a 10/10. It oozed home grown love of a New Zealand classic which made me want more. My wife opted for the vegan pancakes and was not disappointed. I definitely will be back and have not stopped raving about to my...
