party of four went to yardhouse for dinner 31/05/2015.Two of us ordered fish and chips described on menu as beer battered terekihi,fries and salad. When meals arrived cut into fish which stunk and one mouthful was enough, tasted rotten.Salad was some mesculan leaves tossed in abit of oil only ate the fries very expensive fries as the meal was $21.The other couple with us thought their meals were'nt that nice either.When waitress came to collect plates 2 of which had'nt been touched complained bout fish which waitress replied its frozen and was'nt even sure what type of fish it was Defnitley not terekihi.No offer of a discount or apology.Won"t be eating at this...

Recently dined at Yardhouse Nawton and unfortunately we wont be rushing back. We were a group of ten people and most of us were not satisfied with our meal. The restaurant wasn't busy at all (as it is usually with the 'two meals for one' deal) so no need for chips to replace the potato cake on the menu. Mushrooms were very sparse, pizza was not enjoyed, chicken was dry and salad was swamped with oil dressing. The length of time it took for some of us to get our meals wasn't acceptable. Visited for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised. Grabbed a couple of beers and we sat outside. Not long after, we were given a complimentary plate of hot chips and were made to feel very welcome. The staff are really engaging and friendly.
