On the road into town we see signs for Oslers welcoming us.
We seek it out because we have been driving and coffee and something freshly baked would just be amazing.
We go into Oslers to have rude staff that bark at us that the coffee machine was closed (4pm) and she was also indignant as we made choices.
I wanted to leave after the coffee denial.....................my desire to leave was not that we could not accept the machine being off but because I can not understand rude retail staff.
Kiwis need to learn about hospitality and tourism...................... As we walked out of the shop there was a car parked outside that said; Locals first tourits second.

   Read moreComing back from Mahia and stopped at Oslers yesterday. Purchased the boil up pie which was beautifully baked. The meat in the pie was super tender and the flavour was really nice. We also got some sweets incl donuts etc which were delicious as well. You could tell everything had been freshly made. The customer service was great and we were even offered a cake box to put all the donuts etc in rather than a jamming them into paper bags which is really going above and beyond. We got excited when we saw the Bakery sign outside of town because normally country bakeries really take pride in there goods. The Pies were extremely underwhelming as well as the other pastries we got. The Staff were rude and acted like they were doing us a favour just serving us. Very disappointed and don't recommend.
