RICHIES — Restaurant in Hawke's Bay

There's a reason why, and you'll know why when you visit the once. Apple slice was too bits of solid dense dough in between a soggy layer of apple. Yukky yuk! The dogs even looked at us in that way of, what are you feeding us! The rice rolls were OK, not soaked long enough so we're still hard in places. The chicken sandwich had one piece of lettuce in the front with just a t.spoon of egg, one slice of tomato and one or two thin slices of chick, again in the front. Rest of sandwich was empty. 😳 the only things were good were the other slices that weren't just dough. The only reason we may go back is for the coffee. These guys have so much more...

This is place not a usual Cafe, chairs were all stacked up in corner and not set out, tables needed wiping down, rubbish bins inside Cafe were full. The place was quite busy this morning people wanted to sit and eat but there was very limited seating and when we did get chairs they were stacked up they were dirty and needed to be wiped down too. We go to this place regularly. The food is good, but only one of the employees behaves kindly.I never saw the owner being nice or smiling. Today we bought 2 sandwiches and asked her to grill them for us. Apparently she didn't like this.Couple of minutes later we got it 2 completely burnt sandwiches.
