Uncle Duck BBQ — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

Overwhelming bad. Also left with food poisoning.

The bbq on rice was extremely sweet and the rice was wet. I struggled to bring myself to eat it after two bites. My dish was also barely lukewarm.

We also got the shaomai to share. It was the most bland I have ever had. I also suspect it may have been frozen. 100% not worth the money.

Originally, I wanted to order the roasted duck on rice, but I was told it would take 20 minutes. Another person comes in and orders it, but it came out in less than 5. This fellow was also given a pot of tea with his meal. Where the heck was mine? They didn't even offer me water to wash down my sweet and salty mess of what they call a meal.

DISGUSTING The food was good and plentiful, but when the business fails to display its council rating certification, and the staff claim to not know where it is, one has to wonder. THEN we watched as one of the kitchen staff went into the toilet with blue gloves on. Came out of the toilet still with his blue gloves on, and went straight back to work in the kitchen; GROSS.

I am pretty stoke about this place and this eatery is much needed in the Silverdale area. I had the two meat combo on rice. The duck skin was so crispy and thin, I thought I was having peking duck. The meat was juicy and full of flavour. The roasted pork was equally divine, the balance of flavour between the 3 layers of the meat was perfect.
