It is just 200m from highway 2 and go back 30 years in time! Wonderful to fill up your car and to have breakfast. First impression is deceiving. If you ask to add two poached eggs and to put it on toast and leave out the bacon you will be surprised by the best breakfast that I had in NZ. Next to the cafe is the Norsewood Pioneer Museum and the tankstation is at the other side of the street including the Little Dutch shop.

Sleepy town cafe but clean with good pre made sandwiches and cakes. Serve hot and cold drinks. Parking outside the door with seating inside and four two person tables outside undercover. Located in an old 1888 bank building. Good stop off as not much out on the open road. No dedicated toilets only public toilet close by. Would recommend.

My wife had the Avocado toast, I had the Gaucho Mash. Bother were delicious. The Avocado toast had perfectly toasted bread and came with a feta whip which was outstanding. My long black was excellent. I forgot to ask whose beans they use. Will definately find an excuse to stop by there again.

What a terrible experience! It has been a hot day, and I asked if there might be a dog bowl for our small, non obtrusive little dog. We had ordered a hearty lunch. The girl on the counter said I could find the bowl outside. I said if it was dirty, which I suspected it would be, could she please refill it. I took it in to be washed and refilled and the older lady working here kicked it out the door and said we handle food, we can't touch that! I said, but it's your dog bowl, shouldn't you be able to wash it and refill it? To which she said no! I commenced washing it out from a glass of water I got from inside and was told I could not do that as that water cost them money. We will not be coming back ever again. Such rude customer service, mediocre food and reasonable coffee. Very disappointing. I think it's because they know people are passing through, and they don't care to put...
